The Pink Ball Gin

On April 15th 2004 we lost our beautiful friend Chrissy to breast cancer.

We were a group of five friends who went through Teachers College together and we were committed to staying in touch and all met up once a year.

In 2000 as plans were being made for our annual catch up, Chrissy contacted us to say she had been diagnosed with breast cancer.

She was only 43.

We were so shocked as we all thought we were 6ft tall and bulletproof, sadly this was not the case.

Chrissy made us all promise to have a mammogram, and so I did, only to find out that I also had breast cancer.
I was also only 43.

I believe Chrissy saved my life that day. My cancer was detected so early that 22 years later I am still here to share this story.
When Chrissy died in 2004 after her battle with breast cancer, she left behind her 13-year-old twin girls and a 10-year-old son, it was so bloody sad.

Her death had a profound effect on me and I felt I did not want her to be just another statistic.
With the support of some beautiful friends the concept of a Pink Ball was formed.

Since 2007 we have raised and donated over $600,000 in support of breast cancer.
With the proceeds from this bottle going directly to the Sunraysia Cancer Resources to support local breast cancer patients and their families.
